Lorum Ipsum Generator

Often my clients ask me, "Why is there demonic text on this sample you sent me?" The answer I tell them is that it's actually improper latin and a place holder text that's been used by graphic designers since at least the 1960s. It's purpose is to visually layout text prior to receiving the actual text.

The Lorum Ipsum

Why is Lorum Ipsum Special?

Lorem Ipsum is a unique placeholder text that visually represents the average flow of natural language. It mimics the appearance and distribution of letters and words, creating a realistic-looking block of text. This helps designers focus on the visual aspects of their work without being distracted by meaningful content.

At a glance, Lorem Ipsum resembles normal writing but serves the crucial purpose of indicating placeholder text. This prevents confusion for clients or viewers who might otherwise mistake it for actual content. While other texts could achieve a similar goal, the use of Lorem Ipsum is a nod to the traditional craft of graphic design. Its familiarity clearly signals the intention behind the text, ensuring everyone understands it is a placeholder.

How do I Use It?

It's Simple: Copy and paste the Lorem Ipsum into your content wherever you want place holder text. Paste it many times back to back if you need to fill in a large area like an essay.

Uses of Lorem Ipsum

  • Design Projects: Placeholder text helps in designing web pages and layouts by providing a visual guide for how the text will look. Ideal for creating realistic mock-ups and prototypes without needing final content.
  • Typography and Font Development Testing: Useful in testing different fonts and typography settings in your design.
  • Client Presentations: Useful for client presentations to demonstrate how the final design will look with text, but let them know first that you aren't performing a dark ritual.
